Shalom, welcome to our today’s bible study I am brother Dan Dassin from Hoshana Yeshua Ministries Today our bible study will be somewhat special because just a few days ago, it was the 15th day of the 7th month according to the calendar that Yahweh our Master gave to the Israelites at the time they were leaving Egypt It was the feast of tabernacles also called sukkot in Hebrew. At the end of this bible study, I will post few images to give you an insight of how I spent the feast of tabernacles with my family and my friends just right here in my back yard. Now let’s get back to our bible study. Sukkot is one of the seven feast that Yahweh our God commanded to keep in Leviticus 23. During the feast of tabernacles we sleep and live under a sukkah or a tent for a period of 7 days and we rejoice in the assembly of the saints and before Yahweh. And Yahweh Elohim commanded to keep that feast so that every generation of his servants will remember that HE delivered his people from slavery in Egypt. But… Moreover that for 40 years his people lived in tents. Elohim says that it’s His feat, and his feasts are forever. But some people think that “forever” had stopped somewhere in time… and that nowadays, “forever” is irrelevant They say that the feasts of Yahweh and his shabbats are a burden too heavy to carry that’s why Yeshua HaMashiach abolished those feasts and shabbats at the cross. Many people today prefer to celebrate pagans holidays such Christmas and new year festivals which have no biblical roots. Their main excuses are apostle Paul’s bible verses taken out of context such as Colossians 2:16-17 The entire letter to the Colossians is filled with clues showing that the church of Colossae was under an attack of gnostics… the equivalent of today’s free masons or rosicrucians if you want… Do not believe me. Go consult the big theologians of christianism and they will tell you exactly the same thing. Also keep in mind that in Colossae, the Colossians had never kept Shabbats or biblical festivals so called Jewish feasts before their conversion to “christianism”. Paul actually was telling the Colossians that; the pagans, the gnostics, the Satanists and the philosophers should not judge you because you are no longer drinking animals’ blood. They should not judge you because you no longer eating meat sacrificed to idols or unclean meat such as the halal meat of the Muslims. Paul was telling them that they should not judge you because you no longer keeping the pagans and the gnostics calendars… They should not judge you because now you are keeping the calendar of YAH our master and saviour, our creator .You are now keeping His feasts. Let no one not judge you because of that… And Paul adds again that these feasts are a shadow of things to come. Which means that YAH’s feasts are prophetic by nature. Talking about prophecy, the prophet Zachariah in the book of Zachariah chapter 14 said: that in the millennium, when Yeshua will return and reign on earth, all the nations of the earth will celebrate… It will be compulsory to celebrate the feast of tabernacles. If any nation or any family does not show up at the feast of tabernacles, Yeshua will punish that nation or that family by a drought. This is what Zachariah says concerning the time when Yeshua the Messiah will reign on earth, I mean when the will of the Father will be done on earth as it is in heaven. As you can see, to celebrate the feast of tabernacles will be compulsory when Messiah Yeshua will be king on earth at his return. Now, if Yeshua, the one people usually call Jesus-Christ is King of kings and that you consider Him to be your king, why can’t you do His will? Why can’t you obey to the King of kings? The prophet Zachariah tells us that the families that will fail to go up to bow down to the King or fail to go up celebrate the feast of sukkot will be stricken by drought. I don’t want to be stricken by drought and I don’t wish that for any of you, that why I tell you to obey to the law of Yahweh. It’s a law that He gave us himself. Many people today are experiencing drought in many areas of there lives, because while pretending that they pray a lot, they have forsaken the moadim, I mean the feast of Yahweh and they have forsaken the torah of Yahweh… Or they just have set it aside. And we are surprised to see the drought everyday in our lives. Listen to me! Almost all blessings in the bible are conditioned by obedience to the torah otherwise the Word of Yahweh Here is a simple example in the book of Deuteronomy in the chapter 28, you will see that there are many promises of blessings such as: You can keep reading these blessings and you will see that all these blessings are conditioned by the first and second verses of Deuteronomy 28 which state the following: Also, Elohim promised Joshua that he will be successful in all his enterprises if he meditates day and night and keep the Word of Yahweh. That’s what will make him successful in whatever he will undertake. Yeshua also said: Watch over the Word of Yahweh means to obey and practice it. There is no other explanation. This was just a parenthesis, let’s get back to the feast of tabernacles and its prophetic fulfilment in regard to our Master and Saviour Yeshua HaMashiach. As I was saying before, Yahweh commanded that we celebrate the feast of tabernacles as a reminder of the crossing of the wildness… also to show us that in the future He will set his tent among men. This, at the return of Yeshua HaMashiach. That’s why Ezekiel 37:27 says: Even better in Revelation 7:15, John says that the one who is seating on the throne will setup his tent among us. That’s is a picture of the prophetic fulfilment of the feast of tabernacles. let’s go a little bit deeper in Revelation 21:3 we read the following: We can see very well that the feast of sukkot will be fulfilled only when Messiah Yeshua will return to setup his tent or sukkah on earth. In the meantime, while waiting for Yeshua to return to setup his sukkah on earth, let’s keep obeying God in celebrating His feasts, in keeping His commandments and His Shabbats as He ordered us to. As I promised at the beginning of this bible study, here are few images of the feast of tabernacles as it was celebrated at my place this year. This year “faute de mieux”, the feast was celebrated in my back yard. But the dream was to be in Yerushalem.
